Two careers. One job.
Marketing usually fails at the exact moment connection is meant to happen. Twenty-three years in clinical imaging and commercial copywriting taught me to recognise this instantly (and to know what fixes it.)
For fifteen of those years, I worked as a diagnostic radiographer and sonographer. I trained at the University of Hertfordshire, with postgraduate qualifications from Charles Sturt University in Australia and City University London.
Most days were busy doing and then explaining scans to anxious patients. Calming waiting rooms full of tense people. Translating consultant language into something people could actually understand and take home with them.
That work teaches you something rapidly: clarity isn't optional when people are scared and emotionally fragile.
For the last eight years, I've been writing for brands instead of speaking to patients face-to-face. Same instinct, just a different output.
The job is still the same, in that it's helping people understand what matters most, at the moment they need to understand it.
Because connection doesn't happen when information is available; it happens when it finally makes sense.
And that's the point most mainstream marketing misses.
That's the work I do now.
For healthcare and wellbeing brands who need their marketing to actually land.
Care services. Women's health. Mental & physical wellbeing. Private clinics and practitioners. Health-adjacent consumer brands. Anywhere the words need to feel as human as the people reading them.

LLCert
Trained in how people actually respond when they're worried, overwhelmed, or making a decision that matters. The human-connection thread under every brand voice I write.
Formerly HCPC registered. No longer in clinical practice, but I remember what it sounded like when a marketing team got it wrong, and what it's like when they got it right.
What changes when we work together.
Copy that sounds like you.
Not generic healthcare-speak. Not stock wellbeing language. Words that capture how you actually talk to your patients, your customers, and your team — only sharper.
Marketing your audience actually responds to.
Patients who feel understood. Clients who book. Customers who recognise themselves on the page. Marketing that converts because it makes sense to the people reading it.
A senior brain you don't have to manage.
Strategic thinking when you need it. Hands-on execution when you don't have time. Clinical and commercial fluency, without the overhead of an in-house team or the briefing fatigue of a generalist agency.
